We’ve seen, heard and bought H&M’s collaborations with luxury brands, but are we ready for the mass retailer to go high luxury themselves? Per a rumor tipped to WWD, the Swedish megabrand is planning on venturing into luxury and more expensive than the brand’s high end COS line. COS was the first in-house move by H&M into a higher fashion category apart of H&M new business comprised of labels Weekday, Cheap Monday and Monk.
There are talks that the project will include ex women’s RTW designer of Whyred, Behnaz Aram, on the brand although nothing is set in stone. Aram joined H&M’s new business division August of 2011.
